Chase's Disney Car Cake

Posted by Jeanette at 11:46 PM 1 comments

I'm lucky to be able to make this cake for Chase who celebrated his first birthday last Sunday. I just enjoyed the whole process from hand molding the cars and painting them one by one.

The Chase sign behind was digitally made by my multi-talented niece, Victoriette. She spent sometime to help me change the name from cars to Chase. Thanks dearie!!
2 tiered Chocolate Mud cake with a chocolate ganache filled with 2 layers of wafer for each tier. Something different from my usual, thanks to mummy Laura's superb idea. Work on this cake till 4am. Putting on the final touch.....just loving every second of it.

Close up of Mater the tow truck.
Close up of Lightning Mcqueen.

Happy Birthday Chase!! Hope you enjoyed your cake as much as I did making it for you!!

Fairy Cake House's First Anniversary

Posted by Jeanette at 2:41 PM 0 comments
Hi all,

It's Fairy Cake House's 1st Anniversary! My sincere thanks to my dear brother-in-law, Alan (and not forgetting my dearest sister, Ann) who started building this blog for me to help me kick start my love and passion for baking.

I've come a long way since then. I've befriended many friends along the way and have had many orders coming in. I've been blessed by the many contacts in my life. My family members who are the joy of my life have been a source of encouragement to me. For this very reason, I began to embark on this journey of baking at my leisure. Baking and cake decorating have widen my horizon of creativity. I find much delight and peace as I hone my skills in moulding and crafting the flowers, figurines and designs, and then finalizing the details on the cakes that I bake.

My friends constantly encourage me to make my dream a reality and it has been a reality for this past year! I am indebted to them for their faithful support, positive comments, and for spurring me on to achieve my goal.

To commemorate this 1st Anniversary, I would like to give away a 8" Guinness Chocolate Cake with whipped cream cheese, strawberries and chocolate, baked and designed to my discretion. What you see is what you will get! I'll be conducting a lucky draw on Christmas eve for my fans residing in Singapore. The rules, regulations, and conditions governing this lucky is very simple and will be listed soon.

I'll give you more time to be acquainted with my blog and if you do like my FB page, please click LIKE. Meanwhile, I'll be accepting Christmas orders and there'll be a 10% discount for this festive orders from all my fans! You'll find the link to my FB page here...

Thank you and may you be richly blessed!

Jaime's Barbie Mermaid

Posted by Jeanette at 8:04 PM 0 comments

Barbie mermaid seems to be a popular choice for little girl nowadays. This cake was made for my little niece, Jaime. She just turn 6 this year and she celebrated with Singapore. My sister asked for a Rainbow Vanilla Cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries filling.

She wanted a little dolphin to accompany her mermaid. So the dolphin just sprung out of the waters with a pearl necklace for her....

White chocolates and fondant seashells with corals at the back of the mermaid.

Guinness Chocolate Cake

Posted by Jeanette at 4:57 PM 0 comments
I made this cake on a request of my niece's boyfriend, Jared to celebrate her birthday. She is a great fan of Guinness Chocolate Cake and so on this ground, I figured it would be nice to have some design that represent Guinness.
What is a Guinness barrel without it's trademark??

The sexy bikini girl is supposed to be the birthday girl having too much to drink and lying down on a big barrel with the froth from the top of the Guinness Stout coming out of mouth. Check ut the little glass made with sugar paste and more froth coming dripping from the side of the glass.
Looks like there's a spillage of Guinness from the barrel as someone forgot to turn of the tap at the bottom.
